FAQ For Clients
• First and foremost, a foot care nurse does not replace a foot doctor. Podiatrists are are the ones who can diagnose, prescribe medications, provide treatments/surgical procedures to support optimal foot health. We are available to support the Podiatry services, not to replace them.
• There are barriers to obtaining routine foot care services from a Podiatrist, such as, transportation, being able to schedule regular appointments, long wait times.
• Some podiatrists no longer offer routine foot care as part of their services because of insurance/Medicare reimbursement issues.
• You can have a podiatrist AND a foot care nurse!
• Salons: Many are not staffed with people who are adequately trained in infection control, or they may not follow heath department standards at all. Most are not trained, or pay attention, the issues and concerns with Diabetic or elderly feet.
• A salon pedicure is a beauty product that often feels good. However, they are not geared to addressing medical concerns such as calluses, corns, thick/fungal nails, dry/peeling skin, and foot pain.
• Nurses are trained in infection control with equipment used on your feet.
• Nurses can help with early detection and prevention of issues that may arise with your feet.

Yes, Sereniti Sole FCN, LLC, is a licensed business in the state of Georgia and we carry extensive liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

• If you cannot reach your feet due to dexterity, disability, pregnancy, or for any other reason, we are here to help.

• Initial home visits may take anywhere from 45-90 minutes, depending on the amount of care needed. Initial clinic visits range from 45-60 minutes.
• Follow-up home visits average about 45-60 minutes and follow-up clinic visits average 30-45 minutes.
• Consents, HIPAA forms, Initial Assessments, and payment information will be obtained.
• Nails will be trimmed, filed, thinned, and whatever else they may need.
• Calluses and corns will be reduced if needed.
• Dry/cracked skin and heels will be addressed.
• A light foot massage will be provided after each session.
• Re-sizing of your feet to make sure you are wearing the correct shoe size. Shoes are inspected for wear and tear.
• Quality one-on-one time/socialization provided, especially in the home setting.
• Education will be provided in proper foot care and prevention.
• We do not provide foot soaks, due to the risk of infection and wound prevention.
• Our tools are chemically sterilized between each use.
• For home visits, we ask that all pets be secured, for the nurse’s protection, during our visits. And also, that A/C be provided and functional.

Absolutely not! Our goal is to provide the most gentle service possible. If you have a particularly sensitive area on your feet, please bring this to the attention of the nurse at the beginning of the session, so we can assess the best way to approach the area.
Generally, no. Our bleed rate is less than 1%. If a small bleed does occur, we will provide first aid and instructions for post bleed.
Absolutely, all the time. Diabetics are a vulnerable population for foot issues and need quality foot care from a qualified provider to maintain healthy feet and assist with preventions of infection.
Yes. All tools are chemically sterilized between each client, or one-time-use tools only.
Please contact us as soon as possible to change or cancel your appointment. We have a 24-hour no-show/late cancellation policy. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees.
Yes. This is an optional, add-on, service that we can provide. Please let us know if this is something you may need at the time of scheduling your appointment.
Yes, we can remove regular nail polish. Gel polish will need to be removed prior to our arrival.
No, please do not, as this can open the door for infections.
FAQ For Facilities:
Foot care clinics may bring in additional traffic/exposure into your facility that otherwise may not have come in, offering opportunity for additional growth.
• We will work with the Activities Director, Nursing/Facility Directors of the facility to set up the logistics of the clinic.
• Once the logistics are worked out, we will manage all aspects of the clinic.
• We only require a small space to operate a clinic. All we need is an electrical outlet, comfortable chair for the clients, access to running water.
• We clean up and return the area that was used to it’s previous condition once the clinic is complete.

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured. Facilities are released from all liability in the consent forms for our foot care services.
Yes, we do. We may ask that a family member be present for the first visit to assist with client history, consent forms, and to help the client to be comfortable with our presence and services. Client safety and comfort is of utmost importance to us.
• We are certainly no replacement for a Podiatrist’s services. Clients can utilize both services.
• Most Podiatrists generally only provide routine foot care services to clients who have underlying medical conditions, such as Diabetes, Peripheral Vascular Disease, or Neuropathy, due to insurance coverage limitations. And the client may need foot care services more frequently than the Podiatrist can perform them.
• Podiatrists may not be willing to service those clients who have no underlying health concerns which would allow insurance to cover the services.
• Clients who simply cannot attend to their foot health due to physical limitations only.
