Dana Seidel, RN

about

Dana has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years, with experience ranging from Hospital Med/Surg, Home Health, Hospice, Dialysis, and Interventional Radiology. Originally from North Carolina, she relocated to Georgia in 2005.

During her career as a Registered Nurse, it became apparent that foot care is a grossly underserved area in Healthcare, even though it has a significant impact on one’s health, with increased risk of falls, pain, infections (sometimes leading to amputations), and decreased mobility.  Many podiatrists are no longer offering routine mobile foot care services due to insurance restrictions, which puts limits on the availability of foot care services for our Seniors. This left the main options for foot care being by nail salons or family members, which could carry many risks.

Upon research, Dana learned that a Foot Care Nurse can operate independently, under the guidelines of the Georgia Board of Nursing, if the work performed stays within the Nursing Scope of Practice. Upon discovering this fact, this lead her in a search of how she could help serve her community by addressing a much-needed service. She completed her Foot Care Training from The Foot and Nail Institute (www.footandnailinstitute.com) and receives on-going training through The American Foot Care Nurses Association (www.AFCNA.com).

On a personal note, Dana is also a wife of 25 years and a mother of 3 young adults.  Her personal passions include her family, her faith, her love of crafting, doing her own acrylic dip/gel nails, and relaxing to watch a good movie or show with her husband.  She also loves animals and currently has a Shih Tzu and fish.

“It would be my privilege and honor to assist you and your loved one with an extremely important, and often neglected, area of health. I would love the opportunity to support your quality of life, one foot at a time.” –Dana Seidel, RN

Why choose Us

Why choose Nurse Delivered Foot Care?

Our nurses provide non-cosmetic medical pedicures which are safe, effective, and comfortable.  Our foot care services are provided in the comfort of your own home, place of residence, nursing home, assisted living, community center, hospice, or in a clinic-type setting, in sessions ranging from 30-90 minutes.

Nurses are highly trained in providing compassionate, client-focused care. Our understanding of infection control, combined with our nursing education, make foot care nurses the obvious choice for delivering foot care to those who are no longer able to care for their own feet, or have high risk medical conditions, such as diabetes, neuropathy, or peripheral vascular disease. As we age, issues such as declining vision, lack of dexterity, and reduced flexibility and physical limitations can limit our ability to care for our own feet. Aging factors, such as thinning skin, loss of subcutaneous fat, medication use, and disease processes can especially place seniors at an increased risk for foot infections. Access to safe, compassionate, foot care shouldn’t be a challenge! We are here to help.
